Vietnam-based accelerator ThinkZone and Cambodia’s CJCC forge partnership

Vietnam-based accelerator Thinkzone and Cambodia’s CJCC have signed a cross-border partnership to support the burgeoning startup ecosystem in the two countries. ThinkZone one of the organizations participating in National Program 844 (Initiative for Startup Ecosystem in Vietnam) of the Ministry  of Science and Technology (MOST).
 
One of the key activities in Thinkzone's implementation duties when participating in Project 844 is creating a network to support innovation initiative startups in the field of Fintech through conferences, events, affiliate programs and training.

 


ThinkZone and CJCC sign partnership

Vietnam-based accelerator ThinkZone and Cambodian-based governmental organization CJCC have signed a cross-border partnership to support the startup ecosystem in the two countries, according to an announcement.

ThinkZone and CJCC will organize some exchange programmes between mentors/trainers from Vietnam and Cambodia for knowledge and experience sharing.

The partnership will help prominent startups from both countries get support in fundraising from regional investors and foray into Vietnam and Cambodian markets.

With comprehensive collaborative activities including training, accelerating, and investing, the partnership aims to fill the gap pertaining to the entrepreneurial and investment ecosystem in both countries. “With this partnership, CJCC and ThinkZone would like to develop entrepreneurship and nurture startups effectively, as well as to develop the network and the ecosystem of startups in Cambodia and Vietnam”, said Sy Vanna, Manager of Human Resource Development Department of CJCC.

Recently, ThinkZone announced the list of top five startups that are slated to receive an investment of $250,000 and other support packages from large corporates. The accelerator is seeking to raise a $30-million venture capital fund focused on tech startups in Vietnam and Southeast Asia.
