The virtual meeting is a post-Techfest event with the seminar being the next development step on the topic of connecting government agencies - corporations, businesses - institutes, schools in building an innovative startup ecosystem discussed in the High-level policy dialogue ‘on connecting resources to support innovative startups’ on the November 28 of TECHFEST VIETNAM 2020.

- H.E. Tran Van Tung – Vice Minister Ministry of Science and Technology Vietnam


- Mr. Alex Orange – Senior Director, Government Affairs Southeast Asia, Taiwan & Pacific Qualcomm Incorporated. For 20 years Mr. Ales has been gaining experience in telecommunications related policy development, 11 years of which were gained working with the Ministry of Economic Development of New Zealand, where, as the Senior Planning Engineer he developed national spectrum management policies, plans, allocation methodologies, and licensing mechanisms that are considered industry best practice.


- Dr. Siang Hee Tan -  Executive Director of CropLife Asia, the voice of the plant science industry across the continent and part of a global federation. Some of his professional experience includes: establishing the University of Putra Malaysia’s (UPM) Genome Centre; management of two startup ventures developing bioinformatics software and prenatal genetic testing; and establishing the biotechnology section for the Sime Darby Technology Centre among other roles.

Moderator: Ms. Bui Kim Thuy – Senior Country Representative – US-ASEAN Business Council – Viet Nam Office (USABC). Ms. Thuy has been a helpful source for US companies doing business in ASEAN Viet Nam as well as for the public sector (including local Govts of VN) in the business-related-policy-making process; facilitating Viet Nam’s SMEs in joining regional/global value supply chain of leading MNCs in the era of digital transformation.
